Wildebeest Migration (calving – Serengeti plains)Every year around 1.5 million wildebeests and hundreds of thousands of zebras cross the Serengeti plains on the search of fresh food and water, creating the largest terrestrial mammal migration. During this fight for survival, many wildebeest die, usually victims of the many predators that lie on the way and from exhaustion and starvation.

The Hadzabe are one of the few true hunter-gatherer tribes left in the world. They live in simple temporary shelters and live by hunting with bows, using poisoned arrow-tips for large game.

​THIS DREAM ITINERARY IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO FOLLOW THE GREAT MIGRATION. WITH 4 NIGHTS IN THE SERENGETI, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO VISIT THE CENTRAL SERENGETI BUT ALSO SPEND SOME DAYS WITNESSING THE GREAT MIGRATION, WHICH COULD BE IN THE SOUTH (NDUTU) FROM DECEMBER TO MARCH, OR IN THE REMOTE NORTHERN TIP OF THE SERENGETI FROM JULY TO NOVEMBER

Lake EyasiLeave so early in the morning to Lake Eyasi area to catch and join an early morning local hunting activities with the Hadzabe. You will go to hunt with them the small animals, birds etc. Then in the same area, visit another tribe , Datoga, to see how they perform their blacksmith duties. Both tribes using the local methods applied it the Stone Age era.
